Immigration Project June-Aug 2017

I am honored to have received funding and studio space to work at the 1708 Gallery (Richmond, VA) for three month to complete "Drifting Dreamers,"a project about immigrants and immigration. This project has been the most humbling experience having met and spoken with new immigrants , refugees (still trying to establish themselves with the help of organization and church groups) and migrant workers. I shall never complain again about anything. We, those are likely reading this blog, are very fortunate. We have roof over our heads, access to clean water, food on our plates, access to information, freedom of movement, free from fear of wartime and gang violence.

All those have participated in this project (over 300 people) have touched me in so many ways. I hope that this piece can communicate to others and create an environment of acceptance for all.
